With the arrival of companies like H2Go which is patenting an interesting approach to hydrogen storage delivering between two and three times the energy density of lithium ion batteries at low pressure with hydrogen in a solid state in a matrix of 3D printed aluminium, it looks like one of the missing links in renewable energy equation (storage) might have a carbon friendly answer. The little company’s zero emission solution and an interesting portfolio of IP make it an interesting one to watch.
Add to that, the beginnings of industrial scale hydrogen production from brown coal rather than burning it, and 2020 could be a good year for the lightest of gasses.
