The Economist wrote a long article about technology and war a couple of weeks ago which reminded me of a couple of little announcements I saw in the press before the summer vacation period.
The second was the acquisition of Psibernetix and its Alpha Genetic Fuzzy Tree system beating human pilots at simulated air combat.
While the former is small group tactics for “capture the flag” assaults using deep learning and the latter is air superiority using genetic fuzzy trees as an optimisation approach, both of them reinforced, in my opinion, the need to focus more on the ethics rather than the capabilities of AI.
